Shawn Nichols joined the firm in 2003. Although his primary focus is in litigation, by choice Shawn has developed a diverse practice that covers a wide variety of legal subjects. Most recently Shawn’s involvement has been in complex litigation, insurance, insurance defense and construction law. Shawn has first-chaired jury and court trials in both state and federal court and has worked on appeals to the South Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Federal Circuit. In addition to his law practice, Shawn is extensively involved in community—youth issues in particular. Shawn's family includes his wife Gina and daughter Jocelyn.
