| Mike received his B.A. degree from the University of South Dakota in 1994, and his law degree with honors from the University of South Dakota in 1997. Mike was admitted to practice in South Dakota in 1997. He is also admitted to practice in United States District Court for the District of South Dakota and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Mike is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, the American Bar Association, and the Second Circuit Bar Association. His primary areas of practice include appellate practice, motion practice, insurance defense litigation, and commercial litigation. Mike’s reported decisions include: McDowell v. Citicorp USA, 734 N.W.2d 14 (S.D. 2007); Hanig v. City of Winner, 692 N.W.2d 202 (S.D. 2005); Richland State Bank v.
